Texas and International Thespian Festival

What is Texas Thespian Festival?

Each year, Texas Thespians host a state-wide festival which includes over 10,000 delegates. As one of the largest annual Thespian festivals where theatre is everywhere, students and their troupe directors will celebrate an entire weekend of theatre this coming November 15-18, 2024 at the American Bank Convention Center. in Corpus Christi, TX.

REGISTRATION

Who can attend?

Any Inducted Thespian of Troupe 7014 are eligible to attend the festival. This is not a mandatory event but we HIGHLY encourage our Thespians to attend, learn and grow as theatre artists.

How much does it cost?

$200 For Festival Registration and a Festival T-Shirt
$15 for Thespys (I.E. Competition entries)
$25 per Delegate for Scholarship Auditions
$15 for Team Design
$25 College Auditions
$15 Tech Team Challenge

$15 Thespian Playworks

$75-125 Hotel Rooms

$100 Transportation

Overall, the costs can be averaging $600-$700.

Full Payment and Registration for 2024 will be announced at a later date.

Where /When does it happen?

November 15-18, 2024 at the American Bank Center in Corpus Christi.

Students will be able to compete in Thespys Categories. As a campus, we are only allowed to enter 15 entries.

Indiana University Bloomington

Each June, more than 5,000 student attendees and their teachers converge on the campus of Indiana University, Bloomington for the Educational Theatre Association’s Thespian Festival, a weeklong celebration of theatre featuring a wealth of opportunities such as:

-Great high school performances on four stages,
-More than 100 workshops and masterclasses,
-A student leadership program,
-Auditions for college admission and Thespian scholarships,
-Student written Thespian Playworks and Thespian Musicalworks programs.
