The 4th year of Studio VII is now complete and it was a wonderful year! We had our first performance sell out for Once Upon a Mattress which also earned 12 Tommy Tune Nominations and 4 wins! Several sell outs at Comedy Sportz matches, advancing past Zone in UIL competition and a great production of Harvey as well. All of these were acknowledged as well as the students, teachers and parents that helped all year long at our annual Banquet.  We wish our seniors well and thank them all for the memories and look forward to rising underclassmen to take their turns in the spotlight.

Shows for the 2009-2010 school year have already been chosen and it will be a busy year with 4 productions: Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (Oct.), The Glass Menagerie (Nov.), Rumors (Jan.) and The Yellow Boat (March). 

Four was the score! The number of Tommy Tune Awards Seven Lakes brought home on Tuesday 4/21.  We won for Best Orchestra, Best Musical Direction, Best Ensemble and Best Crew & Technical Execution.  Congratulations to all for a job well done and the experience of a lifetime for some performing and or accepting in front of 2,000+ people at the Hobby Center!

UIL-One Act Play - On 3/27 we advanced into the District (2nd) round of competition for the first time.  On Saturday 4/4 we were selected as first alternate for the District, as CRHS & MRHS advanced.  Great job all! For a list of awards from the Zone and District rounds go to the Current Production page.

12, that's right 12! On 3/23 SLHS received 12 Tommy Tune Nominations for their musical performance of "Once Upon a Mattress". The nominations included Best Musical, Best Direction, Best Musical Direction, Best Orchestra, Best Scenic Design, Best Costume Design, Best Lighting Design, Best Crew & Technical Execution, and Best Ensemble/Chorus.  In addition, there were three individual nominations for Best Leading Actor (Remi Stanberry), Best Leading Actress (Julia Rucker) and  Best Supporting Actor (Brett Donaldson).  Congratulations to all!   For more info click here.  For pictures go to the Photo Gallery page.
