About Studio VII Theatre Co.

It is the goal of the Seven Lakes Theatre Department to develop
the life-long love for all theatre ~ that of life and that of the stage.
     “Living truthfully in imaginary circumstances.”
“Practical applications of acting-related skills to life.”
 
These two short definitions represent the Studio VII Theatre Co. goals as we audition, rehearse, construct sets, plan and plot, and encourage a life-long love for live theatre and the fine arts. Actors use the tools of everyday life experiences to bring believable characters to the stage and while engaged in that awesome experience, tell that character’s story to an audience.
 
As a student of theatre, one develops real life skills which carry into our everyday lives as students and adults whether or not one chooses theatre as a career. Theatre develops not only an appreciation for the acting process, but also for all fine arts, since without visual arts, music, and movement or dance, theatre would not exist.

What is Studio VII Theatre Co?

Studio VII Theatre Co. is the official non-profit organization created to support, develop, and uplift the Seven Lakes High School Theatre Department and their offerings to not only the students, but to the community surrounding Seven Lakes. Studio VII Theatre Co. is a blend of dedication and involvement from teachers, students, parents, and community members who have come together to help do what the art’s do best… CREATE.

Though Studio VII Theatre Co. was not created on the very first year of Seven Lakes High School’s doors opening, the theatre department and the foundational spirit of Studio VII was laid that inaugural year and the years leading up to the full creation of Studio VII Theatre Co. That is why this year, (2024-2025) we are excited to celebrate 20 years of Seven Lakes High School, and 20 years of theatre gracing the stage at SLHS.

Studio VII Theatre Co. Membership

Any student enrolled at Seven Lakes High School is allow to become a paid company member of Studio VII Theatre Co. and participate in the theatre department events and activities. Students do NOT have to be enrolled in any of the theatre classes to participate. Becoming a company member is simple! Click on the button below to pay your $65 company membership fee (nonrefundable), then fill out the Google Form also linked below so you can receive communication and be eligible for auditions and tech signups! With your company membership fee you will receive a Studio VII shirt and a decal (personalizing optional).
